Ink is a full identity, packaging and product development brief. Exploring the representation of colour in branding through negative spaces whilst simultaneously presenting an absence of colour itself within an identity.

Ink is a stationery shop with the concept of colour application at its heart. Using laser cutting techniques the brand designed applies colour without directly using it within logo, type or iconic identity.

Packaging for products has been designed using basic geometric shapes, incorporating five bright colour palettes. Each element of the brand uses laser cut techniques in a different way.

In addition to brand collateral such as stationery, supplementary commercial assets such as receipts and shop loyalty cards have been considered.

A simple to-scale acrylic geometry set was designed and produced using laser cutting and etching, as well as combining the brands bright patterns within the products through reverse application of adhesive prints.
