Branding and identity creation for Lauran Dunn, a textile designer who works with abstracted surface pattern design. The brief was to create an identity that would incorporate the working designs of each collection, yet also be appropriate for use between seasons and collections.
Lauran Dunn, a designer specialising in fashion using innovative fabrics and prints, required a branded presence primarily for use in self promotional materials, but which was also appropriate for further applications across web and physical products.
With reference to the folds and angular lines that occur in the garments from Lauran’s collections, the type plays with the letter shapes and how the names work as a complete form, combined together not just as type but as a logo mark. The colours the logos work with are adaptable to whichever fabric prints are the most current within Lauran’s collection, as are the shapes within the logo type.
